Inspired by Pichwai an Indian folk art. This repousse panel has been created by hammering a thin brass sheet. Pichwai is a style of painting which originated over 400 years ago, in the town Nathdwara near Rajasthan, India.
Intricate and visually stunning, Pichwai paintings are typically made on cloth and depict tales from Lord Krishna's life.
Like several other Indian art forms, Pichwai is also a dying art and requires recognition and revival. This is our humble attempt to bring this folk art to its global stature.
