FEATURED ART AND SCULPTURES

Repoussé is an ancestral technique of hand beating malleable metals such as copper and brass to create artistic masterpieces. As a trained musician and artist, Bhavini transpires her creativity into every piece of metal art she designs. Taking inspiration from Indian folk art, her travels and history, she amalgamates her vision to create each piece of art decor. It requires simple tools and materials but what makes this technique exquisite is the craftsman who creates it.

A craftsman spends several hours on the metal art sculptures and sometimes in even days to work on a piece and bring it to life. Most of these craftsmen dedicate their lives perfecting this technique and are often never acknowledged for their dedication, determination and focus.

Byaas is dedicated to uplift the lives of these inspirational craftsmen while revitalizing this art form by creating modern and edgy designs.

Cranes are symbolic of happiness, good fortune and longevity because of their fabled life span of a thousand years. This artwork has been inspired by Asian culture and pays homage to age old repousse techniques on brass.

Taking inspiration from Madhubani art, a 2500 year old folk art originating from the Indian subcontinent, the three intertwined birds symbolize the harmony of love and even the intimacy it brings.

Home is where family is - there is so much joy in creating memories and cherishing them together.

Sometimes, leaving our nests helps us get out of our comfort zone and enables us to feel empowered.

This artwork has been inspired by the life of the designer herself, who left her nest seven years ago to discover herself.
